The European Master Certification Program (EMC) is a Belgium Company, EMC International bvba. The Shareholders are comprised of Tomas De Bruyne, Hitomi Gilliam AIFD and Christi Lopez CFD EMC.

EMC is the brainchild of internationally renowned floral designers Tomas De Bruyne & Hitomi Gilliam. With over 60 years of industry experience bridging all continents, their knowledge and expertise is based on the most current insight from their joint global experience. Christi Lopez joined them in the company in 2017.

Tomas De Bruyne from Belgium is one of the most sought after and respected international floral designer today.  Tomas has authored 2 and co-authored 13 inspirational and educational books.  He has presented and reached audiences at every corner of the continents with his talent and knowledge. Tomas has also been published in more than 60 magazines worldwide. Along with giving seminars and demonstrations he has been commissioned to work on many prestigious projects world-wide.

Hitomi is an internationally renowned floral artist and an educator who has guest-designed throughout North America, Bermuda, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, India, Oman, Australia, New Zealand, England and Northern Ireland.  She has authored 2 books and co-authored 5 others.

Christi Lopez AIFD EMC

With over 30 years of business acumen in the Washington, DC area, Christi Lopez is an EMC Cycle 3 graduate. With a background of executive board experience in multiple floral organizations, Christi leads EMC Business Management & participates as an EMC mentor. Multi-faceted, her life’s work includes a location in the historic Mayflower Hotel, Bergerons Flowers, and The Business of Flowers agency, bringing sound resources to today’s floral professional.

She is a graduate of EMC Cycle 2 and has been a member of the original EMC Team as well as part of the EMC Educational Team for the past 3 years. She wears many hats and is the Project Manager for EMC as well as an EMC Teaching Assistant.

Dalia Bortolotti EMC

Dalia is a freelance designer from Ontario Canada. A graduate from EMC Cycle 3, she is the Education Coordinator and a Teaching Assistant as well as a teacher of the EMC Techniques Courses.

Regine Motmans EMC

Regine is a flower shop owner in Hasselt, Belgium. A graduate from EMC Cycle 3, she is the Alumni Manager for EMC.

Stacey Carlton AIFD EMC

Stacey is a freelance designer and educator from Chicago, Illinois. A graduate from EMC Cycle 4, she is the Social Media Manager for EMC.

Beata is a wedding and event designer from Toronto, Canada A graduate from EMC Cycle 2, she is the Teaching Assistant for EMC India and EMC North America.

Rebecca is a floral designer, educator, and retail & events business owner on Lake Winnipesaukee in a destination resort town in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, USA. A graduate of EMC Cycle 3, Rebecca serves as a Teaching Assistant for EMC.

Diana Toma EMC

After 10 years of corporate experience, Diana decided to listen to her creative desire and started her own flower business in Timisoara, Romania.
She is a proud European Masters Certification 2018, cycle 4 graduate and is now a Teaching Assistant for EMC.

Thomas is a freelance designer and young European Trained Floral Artist from Zurich, Switzerland. A graduate from EMC Cycle 3, Thomas, with his expertise in the nuances of modern nomenclature, is presently a member of the EMC Nomenclature Committee.
